Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my turntable not spinning?

First, check that the turntable mode is set to PHONO or PHONO BT (Bluetooth) output. Next, verify that the tonearm is positioned correctly and resting on the record. Then check if the drive belt has slipped off. If all of the above are correct, place the tonearm on the record and check whether the gold spindle at the bottom of the platter is rotating — this is the spindle that the belt wraps around. If the gold spindle is not rotating despite the power being connected, please contact technical support.

Why is my record skipping?

Record skipping is usually caused by one of the following reasons:
1. Dirty record or stylus — Dust and debris on the record grooves or stylus tip is the most common cause. Clean your record with a record brush before playing, and clean the stylus with a soft brush or stylus cleaner.
2. Incorrect tracking force — If the tonearm tracking force is too light, the stylus will skip out of the grooves. Check that the counterweight is properly adjusted for your cartridge's recommended tracking force.
3. Worn or damaged stylus — A worn stylus can no longer track the grooves correctly. Inspect the stylus tip and replace if necessary.
4. Warped record — A severely warped record can cause the tonearm to bounce and skip. Try playing a different record to confirm.
5. Vibration — External vibrations from speakers, footsteps, or an unstable surface can cause skipping. Make sure your turntable is on a stable, level surface away from speakers.
